Moenie ophou Glo nie! Ons is die 12e April 2023 Geseen met n pragtige seuntjie.Op Feb 2022 het ons met ons IVF behandeling begin saam met Ruach se fantastiese personeel. Ons was altyd met liefde en omgee behandel. Alles was so mooi en deeglik met ons bespreek. Nooit het ons gevoel soos net nog ‘n paartjie met infertiliteit nie.

Ons het in Aug 2022 die terugplanting gedoen en op 18 Augustus 2022 het ons die oproep van Sr. Bea af gekry dat ons Swanger is!!

Hierdie was nie ‘n maklike pad nie, maar ons God het geweet na wie toe Hy ons wil stuur en waar Hy Sy wonderwerk wil laat gebeur! Ons is baie dankbaar vir Dr. Strydom en sy personeel!

I would like to share my story. My husband and I struggled to get pregnant. We went to see Dr Strydom and we felt so at ease and comfortable from the very start. He pointed out to us that I had endometriosis stage 3 and that I had to be operated on to remove it as it was so close to my colon.

We had a low chance of getting pregnant and was given 6months to do so naturally or we would have to look at other forms of help. After lots of patience and prayers , we were lucky enough to fall pregnant within the first month of trying.

Our beautiful baby boy is now 7 and a half months old and its all thanks to Dr Strydom and his team that helped and supported us throughout what we felt was a difficult and frustrating time

We had the wonderful privilege of being patients of Dr Strydom for the biggest part of 2019. Dealing with Infertility can be challenging but it was made so much easier by having a doctor who truly cares. From the very 1st appointment , we appreciated the fact that he listened to our questions and fears and took the time to explain every step of the process.

He is not only incredibly good at what he does on an medical/scientific level but he also supports one emotionally through every step of the way, every high and every low.

The day that we 1st saw our tiny fetus’s heart beat on the ultrasound, he had tears in his eyes (so did we obviously) and it was clear once again that for Dr Jaco this was so much more than just a job, it was his passion and heavenly calling.

I have subsequently referred every patient and every friend who struggles with infertility straight to Dr Jaco as it was a privilege and an incredible blessing to be his patient.

After struggling with infertility for +- 5 years we met Dr. Jaco Strydom.

With our first encounter we were received with so much love and compassion.  Dr. Strydom’s ability to make you feel at home and supported at the same time, was such a big blessing for us.  He was interested in us, our story and he went over and above to make me feel comfortable and content with each examination.  He kept us updated on all processes and the emotional support we received from Dr. Strydom and Sister Bea was overwhelming.

We decided on artificial insemination and Dr. Strydom explained all the details with so much clarity.  After our 1st attempt, we fell pregnant. Our healthy little baby girl was born on the 17th of June 2021 & our hearts’ are full.  Dr. Strydom not only became a friend but he also helped us to become the family we always dreamt of.

Ons storie het ñ hele paar jaar begin voor ons Dr Jaco Strydom ontmoet het.  In 2011 is ons dogtertjie onverwags vroeg gebore op 27 weke.  ‘n Paar komplikasies het ontwikkel as gevolg van die vroeë geboorte en sy is serebraal gestremd.  Verstaanbaar was ons dus skrikkerig om weer swanger te raak.  Ons was by verskeie ginekoloë daarna, maar niemand kon met sekerheid sê hoekom die vroeë kraam gebeur het nie.

Intussen het ek miome ontwikkel en is ek deur n ginekoloog na Dr Strydom verwys.  Na konsultasie met Dr Strydom is besluit om die miome deur middel van laparoskopie te verwyder.  Gedurende die prosedure het Dr Strydom ñ septum in my uterus ontdek.  Dit was in alle waarskynlikheid die oorsaak van die vroeë geboorte.  Dr Strydom het kans gesien om weer te opereer om die septum te verwyder.

Na al die prosedures en opvolg konsultasies is ons seuntjie gesond en vol termyn gebore (8 jaar jonger as sy sussie).  Dr Strydom het gedurende die hele pad met ons baie deernis en empatie getoon.  Hy het die pad met ons gestap in geloof en ons sal altyd dankbaar wees vir sy kundige raad en uitstekende en professionele hantering van die diagnose.

Dr Strydom toon aan sy patiënte meer as die nodige respek en “bedside manners” en laat mens altyd op jou gemak voel.  Sy reputasie as uitmuntende chirurg en dokter loop hom vooruit.  Baie dankie Dokter Jaco vir jou volgehoue belangstelling en omgee.

No words can express how grateful I am to have Dr Jaco Strydom and his amazing team care for me during my IVF journey.  Everyone was so caring and detail-oriented every step of the way.  He is not only compassionate and caring but he is also very knowledgeable about fertility.

A lot of times when you go to a doctor, you feel like another number but that’s not how Dr Strydom makes you feel.  Every time when we had a setback I could see the heartsore in his eyes and every time he made me feel like I am the only patient at that time.  He will phone after hours and go out of his way to fit you in, whenever something just doesn’t feel right. Every scan he explained in so much detail, he will go out of his way to make sure everything is 100%.  There is no time on a consultation or a rush to see the next person at that moment you are the only patient.

Egg retrieval and transfer days he will make you feel at your most comfortable.  He is such a gentle soul – I believe God put him on earth to help us as woman.  When Dr Jaco phoned to congratulate us on the good news of the pregnancy, the joy in his voice was almost happier than what we were.

Dr Jaco, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us bring Luca into this world.  We will be forever great full towards you.
